For those interested in the Stroud Playground renovation, the next step is to attend a Concept Plan meeting taking place next week. Here’s part of the email we received from Emily Sherrod of the Parks Department. Note: It’s part of the Community Board 8 Parks Committee meeting
“The Concept Plan takes the form of a “bubble diagram,” a spatial outline that demonstrates how space may be used for various activities by using circular shapes to create a diagram. This diagram will influence the final design of the park. Since we last met, our designers have been working diligently to develop a Concept Plan that reflects the needs of the current community. A draft of that plan is complete and we would like to share it with you at the next Community Board 8 Parks Committee meeting, February 3, 2015.
The Community Board will convene at 6:00 p.m. at St John’s Recreation Center, 1251 Prospect Place.
As an active participant and stakeholder in this project, we invite you to join the meeting as a representative of your community, or identify someone to attend on your behalf. This will be a limited opportunity to provide feedback to our designers before they begin working on the detailed schematic design of the new playground.”
Hope you can make it to give input about the design!
